Peterson to announce selection of Willmar district office
(DETROIT LAKES) - U.S. Rep. Collin C. Peterson (D-7th District) will announce the selection of a district office in Willmar. The announcement will be at 11 a.m., Friday, December 6, at 320 Fourth Street SW in Centre Point Mall in Downtown Willmar.
As a result of redistricting, Peterson added 13 counties to his seat, and will represent a total of 35 counties throughout the majority of western Minnesota.
“The Seventh Congressional District is one of the largest districts in the United States, and I’m committed to serving its people from the north to the south,” Peterson said. “Willmar is a growing community with tremendous resources and will be a good location for me to offer services to the southern part of my district.”
The district office will open in January and will provide services to people requesting assistance with federal agencies, to business and community groups seeking economic development assistance, and to a variety of other federal matters.
Peterson also has offices located in Detroit Lakes and Red Lake Falls.
