(WASHINGTON, DC) - U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson will be participating in a public information meeting for the Elbow Lake Municipal Airport from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, at the airport. The Congressman will be joined by Raymond Rought, Director of the MnDOT Office of Aeronautics, and Janese Buzzell, Manager of the Minnesota Aviation Education Section and Coordinator of the Minnesota Adopt an Airport Program.

“The people of the Elbow Lake area have been terrific supporters of their airport, and as a pilot who has used this airport many times, I look forward to being part of their program,” Peterson said.

The program also will include a flag dedication and flagpole presentation, along with a presentation of the new Adopt an Airport sign. The Grant County Women of Today, and Girl Scout Troop 431 are sponsors of the sign.

Following the presentations will be an overview of the airport’s improvement plan, and a public meeting to address questions about the plan.
