(Washington, DC) - Congressman Collin Peterson was honored by the invitation from The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) to serve as co-chairman for the Frozen Food Caucus along with Congressman C.L. “Butch” Otter (R-ID).
“The frozen food industry is a leader in food safety, technology and development of ready food products. With 550 member companies, including Schwan’s out of Marshall, Minn., I am honored to serve as the co-chair of this important agriculture food caucus,” Peterson said.
AFFI is the national trade association that promotes and represents the interests of all segments of the frozen food industry in regard to legislative and regulatory activities for its members and for the benefit of consumers. The AFFI represents over 90 percent of the frozen food industry. These frozen food companies are not only feeding the world, they are providing employment for hundreds of thousands of Americans.
“ I look forward to serving and providing leadership in this vital aspect of the agricultural economy,” Peterson said.
