Bemidji Regional Airport included in federal appropriations bill

(WASHINGTON, DC) - U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson announced that the Bemidji Regional Airport will receive $500,000 towards the expansion of their airport terminal and infrastructure as part of a transportation appropriations package that passed the U.S. House of Representatives.

“The Bemidji Regional Airport is an important link in the region for commerce and economic development,” Peterson said. “Bemidji airport officials and area leaders have worked hard to help secure this funding each year for the ongoing improvements that are necessary to a growing facility.”

The Regional Commission’s Airport Layout Plan has forecasted expansion at the existing airport terminal to increase by 44 percent as the increasing passenger demands grow with the city.
