Peterson, Crawford introduce resolution honoring 75th anniversary of the REALTORS® Land Institute
WASHINGTON-Representatives Collin C. Peterson (D-MN) and Rick Crawford (R-AR) introduced legislation to honor the 75th anniversary of the REALTORS Land Institute. The RLI, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, is a trade association specializing in land brokerage, including farms, ranches, recreational, timberland, vineyards, orchards, and other undeveloped lands. The contributions to the buying and selling of rural land during their tenure have greatly benefited the agricultural sector and it is time to honor them on all of their contributions to the rural economy over the 75 years since the Institute’s inception.
“The REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI) has been a tremendous asset to farm country,” said Peterson. “These folks have contributed greatly to the rural economy and this legislation highlights their 75 years and great efforts.”
“For 75 years The REALTORS Land Institute has been a huge resource to rural Americans. I am pleased with the work they do, not only to help folks find property, but also in providing expertise to land real estate professionals, who are assets to their communities,” said Crawford.
“The National Association of REALTORS® and the REALTORS® Land Institute thank Chairman Peterson and Rep. Crawford for their recognition of this critical real estate sector, and we look forward to continuing our work with Congress to ensure the RLI remains central in the effort to preserve and protect private property rights across the U.S.”, Said NAR President John Smaby and REALTORS® Land Institute President Jeramy Stephens.
