The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is open to all middle and high school students. Students can choose to work individually or in teams of up to four to create an “app.” Apps are judged by a panel who will pick the winner for Minnesota’s 7th District. The CAC accepts computer programs (or apps) written in any programming language, for any platform (desktop/PC, web, mobile, raspberry Pi, etc.).

As a member of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) caucus, Congressman Peterson is proud to host this competition and excited to showcase Western Minnesota students’ work. For more information and to learn how to register as a participant, visit

Deadline to register for the challenge and submit a completed app is October 19,2020.
